"Recent polls show black women are expected to make up more than a third of all Democratic voters in South Carolina's primary in five days.
For these women, a unique, and most unexpected dilemma, presents itself: Should they vote their race, or should they vote their gender?"
What happened to voting their political beliefs? That odd idea gets a glancing acknowledgment much further down in the article.

I flashed on this one, too, Kate. What in G-d's name possesses them to make such a statement? It's condescending, at minimum.
This would seem to be a logical extension of the disease commonly referred to as "the identity movement".
It is particularly pathetic coming on MLK Day, given I that wholeheartedly believe in the concept of judging people by their character rather than race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc.
I hope I live long enough to see the demise of this despicable tommyrot.
